Atos, the French IT company, has announced the appointment of Yves Bernaert as its new chief executive officer. This move comes after the company faced significant leadership changes in recent years.

New Leadership in Place

Effective immediately, Yves Bernaert assumes the role of CEO at Atos. While his appointment as a director on the board will be proposed at the annual general meeting, he is already assuming the responsibilities of the position.

Atos experienced the departure of two chief executives in 2021 and 2022, which affected investor confidence. Following these departures, the company was managed by a team consisting of Nourdine Bihmane, Philippe Oliva, and Diane Galbe. The team worked towards streamlining operations and dividing the company into two separate entities.

Restructuring Efforts

As part of the restructuring efforts, Nourdine Bihmane was appointed as deputy head in charge of Atos' Tech Foundations business. Philippe Oliva chose to leave the group after a transition period, while Diane Galbe joined the Tech Foundations team.

The aim of these changes within Atos is to refocus on core businesses and enhance overall performance.
